Bar fly

My friends are trying different pubs to hang around in on Sunday afternoons. Criteria : inner city/northern suburbs, guinness on tap essential, decent pub tucker, good atmosphere (ie no pokies!) and preferably close to public transport.

There are stacks of great pubs and eating houses in Essendon. You should visit! Go Bombers!

Try the workshop, Corner of A’Beckett and Elizabeth Street, it door is kinda recessed in a bit but looking for it on the RHS going UP A’Beckett from Elizabeth (towards Queen St) you will find it.

Laid back sunday sessions and if you bump into a guy called SEA tell him coco sent you!

    COCO!

Hey Magpie, im not really a bar type person (yea I know I’m boring), but I went there once for a meeting and it was pretty cool and I will go back again. One of my collegues (SEA) does some work for these guys and loves the place and does some regular sunday gigs in the chillout sessions that they have.

ENJOY and I might see you there on day, thats if my owner lets me off my leash !

    COCO!

The Quiet Man in Flemington has fantastic tucker and traditional Irish music on Sun afternoons with a live acoustic session in the front bar afterwards. Guinness Pints are $5 and its within walking distance of Flemington Bridge station. My friends and I have enjoyed many beer filled afternoons there!
    Cheers

Wow, $5 pints is good value! I know the Quiet Man but haven’t been there. Cheers, magpie.
